SSI is economic needs based. The amount depends on living situation, earnings and unearned income. The big deal with SSI, is that if you are eligible or already receiving SSI, you are eligible for Medicaid, which offers immediate and comprehensive coverage of medical services and prescriptions ($2 co-pay). There is no cost for Medicaid.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
